Hi, my name is Chyna! Growing up I was always asked the question, “What do you want to be when you grow up?” I would name a bunch of different occupations but as long as I can remember I always wanted to be a teacher. In high school when it was time to apply to schools and pick a major that’s when I was lost. I had second thoughts about going into Education thinking what if its not for me, what if its not what I think, and just a bunch of what if’s. Then I really took a look at myself and remembered how much I enjoyed working with children from summer camp to just babysitting. I just have a connection and a love for children. Also I remembered how I love Math and how it was always the subject I had the highest grade in on my report cards growing up. I want to be the teacher that makes a difference in their student’s lives. I want to inspire and motivate them to learn and follow their dreams. I additionally want to combine fun and learning into my curriculum.
