Working at Gesell Institute of Child Development was a challenging, educational and intertersting experience. This internship was the closest to my goals for life being a psychology major. Along with the normal work of tasks such as writing emails, working with microsoft access to update information and organizing our materials, I was able to learn and study about child development.
As a part of my internship, I observed psychological testing on five and six year olds. I was able to practice conducting the Gesell Early Screener test and I am now certified to conduct the test with children. As a token of my appreication, I painted a canvas for the Gesell Institute which is currently hanging on their wall at the home office in New Haven, CT.
