inspired by Picasso's famous work, will be on display on
St. Augustine Plaza, St. John´s University Queens Campus

Celebration of The 80th Anniversary of Picasso's Guernica, 1937
We would be grateful if you could join us on this historical date. In memory of the bombing of Guernica, which inspired Picasso's masterpiece, we will be displaying on Campus
This work, commissioned by the Mayor of Malaga, a reflection of Don Quixote spirit, will be on display on Tuesday, October 10 (from 10 am to 7 pm) at the corner of St. Augustine Plaza (facing the Office of Undergraduate Admission Welcoming Center).
A discussion on the historical significance of “Guernica”
will follow, at 4:30 pm,
with the participation of
the artist, students and special guests.

Anne Stanner, She currently works as a metal sculpture Technical Instructor at the Art Students League. She curated their sculpture exhibits on Governors Island, NYC, and organized Creative Sculpture Workshops for the community.
Nicolas Toscano, is a former department chair and presently coordinator of the undergraduate Spanish program, expert in Medieval culture and expert on Cervantes.
Ines Monica Sarmiento-Archer, curated the event, she is artist and Director, base Iberoamericana / Community of the Two Americas (bi/Coa)
