I have fond memories of most of my classes. In the photo on the left, the whole class, at the initiative of one international student, decided to write me individual letters, as tokens of appreciation for what they had learned in that class, an advanced translation class. Each student expressed gratitude  in his or her own words, some in French,  others in English.  They placed the letters in a pretty box which, to my surprise,  they presented to me on  the last day of class.
