I was born in Atlanta, GA but was raised in San Diego, CA (younger years) and Fairfax, VA (older years). I have traveled and lived all around the United States from Florida to Hawaii to Maryland to Texas, etc. I have been interested in sports since I was little and have been moved and deeply immersed by so many memorable moments to develop a passion in this field. The two quotes below are pertinent to me and my outlook on life.

“Jack of All Trades, Master of None” is a powerful quote I have always stuck by. Some see this as a negative myth, but I see it as widening your skill set as much as possible! I continue to master my skill of Athletic Training and am studying to excel and advance in Sport Management. Specialize in your passion and go out and expand your knowledge base; take workshops, become advanced in computer literacy and coding, do something different, volunteer more, stay after hours at the internship, be the first one there and the last one to leave, be pro-active NOT reactive, etc. When the opportunity arises, be the first one to dive in and go for it! Adaptability is valuableness and that is what you want to be: valuable.

A Jack of All Trades will know how to learn and approach new skills - No mountain is ever too high. You might not be the first one at the top, but you will always get there and in one piece! You can become a great leader with a wide range of experience. Lastly, your confidence. You ARE capable of anything and if you continue to work on your skills, then your confidence will only get higher. I would tell myself to stay focused. I would tell myself to combine those skills in creative ways. I would tell myself that I will be successful and confident of those skills, socially and professionally. And most importantly: take time for yourself and be happy. It only gets better from here!

After all the diligent work you put in, it won’t be just a job you are doing, it’ll become your fascinating “lifestyle”. “You will never have to work a day in your life” because you are so passionate about what you do.
